All deliveries require access for a tail-lift and a pallet truck. These wagons can be as large as 18-tonne vehicles. You must have a dropped kerb and hard-standing, flat, solid groundwork capable of manoeuvring a pallet truck on. Failing to comply with any of the above may result in a failed delivery, resulting in return costs. Our hauliers will charge per pallet for this failed delivery, plus the additional already paid funds for collecting and distributing the goods to your address. We do sell thousands of tonnes a year with hauliers, so if you are unsure or would like any further advice on whether your property qualifies, please contact us or alternatively read further on for any additional information.
Upon placing the order It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure we have a working telephone contact number for you. The manual pallet trucks that the driver uses cannot be operated on any uneven ground, such as gravel, grass, inclines, or declines, etc. It is your responsibility to make sure the driver has access! Ideally, you should make sure somebody is available to accept your delivery and to sign for the goods. If you have any questions at all, best to call or Email for more details regarding the logistics of delivery.
Typically speaking, we very rarely have issues regarding delivery or orders in general. However, it is important to be thorough when placing an order to nullify the possibility of any failed deliveries, especially due to the costs of distributing goods of this weight.
If nobody is home, the driver will attempt to leave the goods in the most suitable place. We at Stone Hub are not responsible for goods left after delivery. All deliveries will be made to the kerbside unless specified otherwise. As our hauliers are not insured to take goods onto your premises without your permission.
With your permission, and at the drivers discretion, your materials may be offloaded directly onto your premises, however any damages caused to the goods delivered, or any property including (but not limited to) Manholes, Tarmac Driveways, Block Paved Driveways, Trees, Buildings, Gates, Gate Posts, Fences, Overhead Cables etc. are not the responsibility of Stone Hub.
Following delivery, all items should be thoroughly inspected.
Delivery will be made between 8am – 6pm on the day arranged. We cannot offer timed deliveries or an estimated time for delivery.
We will make every effort to deliver the goods on the agreed date, but this can never be guaranteed. Unforeseen circumstances, such as traffic or breakdowns, can occur in very few cases, and in which case, we will make sure someone contacts you to re-arrange the delivery.
Any damages should be noted and documented. You should inform us of these damages by phone or email within 24 hours. You should include images of damaged material.
In most cases, once the goods have been removed from any packaging, refunds are no longer available due to contamination.
The customer is responsible for the disposal of any pallets and bulk bags after use.
PLEASE NOTE: OUR GOODS ARE NATURAL PRODUCTS, THEREFORE WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THE EXACT COLOUR AND SIZE. ALL DESCRIPTIONS AND PICTURES ARE AS ACCURATE AS POSSIBLE AND ARE CALCULATED ON THE AVERAGE OF THE GOODS
